Why can't I log on to ANZ Internet Banking?

There can be many reasons for not being able to log on to ANZ Internet Banking.

CRN and password issues
  • Incorrect CRN or password: you'll need to have your CRN confirmed or your password reset.
  • CRN suspended: after three unsuccessful log on attempts, your CRN will be suspended. You will not be able to log on to ANZ Internet Banking until the CRN is un-suspended or password is reset.
  • Your CRN is locked: your CRN may be locked for such reasons as unauthorised use or other security issues. ANZ will lock your CRN upon your request if you suspect security issues with your computer. ANZ will also lock your CRN if there has been a suspected fraudulent transaction using your ANZ Internet Banking CRN or a related CRN.

Security and general access issues
  • Always ensure you are accessing the correct website. Check whether it states "ANZ New Zealand" on the top left hand corner. Always start by entering the address www.anz.co.nz into the address bar.
  • There may be issues with your browser settings or operating system.
  • The pop-up windows may be blocked.
  • From time to time, ANZ Internet Banking technicians need to perform additional maintenance on the system. This is normally scheduled on Sunday mornings between 1.00am and 4.00am (NZT) as there is minimal customer usage of the site.or the weekends and a notification message is provided to ANZ Internet Banking customers on the day of the scheduled outage.

I have forgotten my ANZ Internet Banking password. What do I do now?

If you have forgotten your ANZ Internet Banking password and/or have tried to log on to ANZ Internet Banking with an incorrect password, your CRN will be suspended after three incorrect attempts.

An ANZ Customer Service Consultant will provide you a temporary password, which you'll be prompted to change on your first log on.

I don't have a CRN. How do I obtain the CRN?

If you do not have a valid CRN or have forgotten your CRN, please call the ANZ Internet Banking team on 0800 368 524 (International callers: +64 4 473 0370) 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Your CRN will be 4-10 digit number provided to you by an ANZ Customer Service Consultant.
How can I get a PIN?

The Personal Identification Number (PIN) is a four to seven digit number, which is your existing ANZ Phone Direct PIN.

  • If you haven't already been supplied a valid PIN by an ANZ Customer Service Consultant or have forgotten your PIN please call ANZ Phone Direct on 0800 103 123 (International callers: +64 4 472 7123).
It says my CRN or PIN is incorrect. What do I do now?

If ANZ Internet Banking indicates that your CRN or PIN is incorrect, please contact ANZ Phone Direct on 0800 103 123 (International customers please call +64 4 472 7123) to confirm you CRN or to obtain a new PIN.

Is my pop-up blocker affecting ANZ Internet Banking?

ANZ Internet Banking utilises a pop-up window for opening the log on window. For this reason we recommend that you allow all pop-ups and advertisements to appear on www.anz.co.nz, or disable the pop-up blocker for the duration of your ANZ Internet Banking session.

Linking accounts to ANZ Internet Banking

Why don't I see all my ANZ accounts when I log on to ANZ Internet Banking?

Registering for ANZ Internet Banking does not give you access to all your accounts online. If you cannot see your accounts online, please choose one of the following options to get your accounts linked to ANZ Internet Banking:

  • Use the link my accounts function on ANZ Internet Banking - this will take 24-48 hours.
  • Contact the ANZ Internet Banking team on 0800 368 524 (International callers: +64 4 473 0370) 24 hours a day, seven days a week - this will be immediate.
  • Visit your nearest ANZ branch - this will be immediate.
What accounts can I link to ANZ Internet Banking?

You can link most of your ANZ accounts to your ANZ Internet Banking, if you are authorised to access them. The accounts that can be linked vary from everyday and savings account to loans and credit cards. The ANZ Customer Service Consultant, who handles your enquiry, will check the account relationship to ensure that it can be linked to your CRN.

What does it cost to use ANZ Internet Banking/ANZ Internet Banking for Business?

ANZ Internet Banking

No service fees apply to ANZ Internet Banking. Transaction fees may apply for certain types of accounts.

  • These fees may be changed by ANZ from time to time.
  • Full details of all current fees and charges are available from any branch of the Bank or on the ANZ website.
  • You are responsible for all charges levied by an Internet Service Provider when either you or an Authorised User accesses ANZ Internet Banking.

ANZ Internet Banking for Business

When you use ANZ Internet Banking for Business to make particular transactions you will be charged fees.

  • These fees may be changed by ANZ from time to time.
  • Full details of all current fees and charges are available from any ANZ branch.

You are responsible for all charges levied by an internet service provider when either you or an authorised user accesses ANZ Internet Banking for Business.

How do I register for ANZ Internet Banking?

To register for ANZ Internet Banking you need a CRN and a PIN. If you haven't already been supplied with a valid CRN and a PIN or have forgotten them, please call ANZ Internet Banking team on 0800 269 296 (International customers please call +64 4 470 3142).

Should I register for ANZ Internet Banking for Business?

If you have a business account with ANZ and need higher daily payment limits, co-signatory authorisation, access to payment templates, payment file upload options and need a Security Device for additional security for online payments and transfers to third party accounts, you may register for ANZ Internet Banking for Business.
