There's a lot you can do with an ANZ Airpoints Visa card. Your Airpoints DollarsTM will not expire while you have an ANZ Airpoints Visa account and you are the nominated earner. Plus your ANZ Airpoints Visa gives you other Air New Zealand benefits^ such as:

  • Earn 1 Airpoints Dollar for every $145 dollars you spend on eligible purchases*
  • Your Airpoints Dollars do not expire while you're an account holder
  • No Airpoints joining fee (save $50)
  • No annual Airpoints membership fee (save $30)
  • Up to 50 Airpoints Dollars Advance (if you haven't earned quite enough Airpoints Dollars to redeem, you can get an Airpoints Advance).
  • Plus, transfer your balance from another bank's credit card to an ANZ Airpoints Visa or any other ANZ credit card, and pay just 2.99% p.a. interest for six months on balances transferred.

With the ANZ Airpoints Visa you will earn 1 Airpoints Dollar for every $145 dollars you spend on eligible purchases*. As long as you're an account holder and the nominated earner, your Airpoints Dollars don't expire and there is no limit to the number of Airpoints Dollars that you can earn.

Redeem your Airpoints Dollars for Air New Zealand and Star Alliance flights, giving you access to over 1,000 destinations around the world.

When you apply for an ANZ credit card, we may ask you to provide proof of income and identification.

Proof of income

One of the following:

  • your most recent payslip or salary notice
  • copies of bank statements that show your pay or salary deposits
  • a letter from your employer confirming your income
  • an Inland Revenue Department (IRD) "summary of earnings" notice.

If you're self-employed, you must supply:

  • signed financial statements for the past two years
  • a signed personal Statement of Financial Position
  • your personal tax return.
Proof of identification

A copy of one or two items from List A. If you provide only one item from List A, you must also provide one item from List B.

List A

  • Current passport
  • New Zealand drivers licence
  • Photo credit card.

List B

  • Most recent bank statement
  • Debit card
  • Credit card
  • Community services card
  • Club or society card.
