The ANZ website contains the following tabs:

Recharge makes budgeting easy. You load it. You choose your fund limit.
Recharge lets you keep your spending under control. For a start, you're spending your own money so you're not racking up debt.
Unlike your EFTPOS card, Recharge is separate from your everyday account so it's easy to keep your disposable income separate from the money you need for bills and expenses.
You can get a Recharge card as long as you're aged 16 years or older. You don't even need to be a New Zealand resident.
It's also a good option if you're concerned about security. If your Recharge card is lost or stolen you can easily cancel it and get a new one.
Recharge works well as a way to pass on pocket money to older children. They can use it like a credit card but you know they're spending their own money. Plus, if you choose to make your child an additional cardholder, you can set up limits on the card so it works in a way you're comfortable with.1 You can, for example, specify no ATM withdrawals or set a dollar limit for Internet purchases.
For each card there's a monthly fee of $2.00 ($1 per month until 30 April 20112). This is charged every month from the date you first activated your card. All fees listed below, including international transactions are in NZ dollars and are per transaction.
