Support available for business customers

As with any event that disrupts business, careful planning is key to managing the short-term effects, and we’d encourage customers to contact us early so we’re in the best position to help. 

Here are some of the specific ways we offer support: 

  • Ability to apply for temporary overdrafts to support any shortfalls in working capital during a period of low or no incomings for businesses.
  • Ability to apply to extend your loan terms or move term lending to interest only for a period to help reduce non-essential financial outgoings for businesses.
  • Waiver of loan restructure fees for any requests to restructure debt due to COVID 19 disruption (excludes any Non Utilisation Recovery or Early Repayment Recovery that may apply).
  • Waiver of FastPay monthly card reader fee for August. Automatically applied to all FastPay merchants (standard transaction processing fees still apply for ANZ FastPay).

Eligibility and lending criteria, terms and conditions and fees apply.  We can remove the support package offers without notice.

COVID Relief - Contactless Debit Fee Waiver for the months of September and October

ANZ will be waiving the fees for Contactless Debit transactions for eligible small business customers for the months of September and October. Credit contactless fees still apply.  

ANZ eligibility criteria applies.  ANZ will contact merchants who are eligible for the contactless debit fee waiver and will apply this automatically.

Helping you stay on top of your banking

Where possible, please use ANZ Internet Banking, ANZ goMoney app, ANZ Direct Online, Phone Banking or ATMs to do any business banking. Using those services means our contact centre can focus on helping vulnerable customers and those immediately impacted by COVID-19.


ANZ FastPay

Accept EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard credit and debit card payments including contactless payments, by pairing your smartphone,  with our ANZ FastPay card reader. So you can get paid anywhere, anytime.



Cash options

You may want to consider different options for cash processing.


Fast Deposit boxes

If your business is regularly depositing cash via our branch network, Fast Deposit Bags are an option for ANZ Business Banking account holders. Business customers can place cash in a secure, tamper evident bag, and drop it into one of our secure drop boxes.

Smart ATMs

Deposits of cash into individual or sole trader accounts can also be made into Smart ATMs.

Other useful tips

  • Take a look at your insurance for your business, to ensure that it’s fit-for-purpose and well-considered.
  • Think about whether your business limits are sufficient.
  • Check whether business account signatories are up-to-date.
  • Review change levels and internal cash handling procedures for your business. 
  • Review payment options for your customers and think about whether you can include electronic payment details on your invoices.
  • Consider whether any of the digital tools available to ANZ customers could help you with managing cash flow, payroll, accounting, and expenses during this challenging time.
  • Be aware of scams.
