Banking during COVID-19

ANZ branches are available at all levels of the COVID-19 traffic light system. Branches that are open and their opening hours may change depending on government announcements, check back here for the latest information.

Ways to bank during COVID-19

The ANZ goMoney app, Internet Banking, 24/7 Automated Phone Banking, and ATMs (including Smart ATMs for cash deposits) are all available to help you do your regular banking. If you aren’t using these options already it’s quick and easy to get set up with our guides

Most banking services can be provided over the phone, you can call us on 0800 269 296.

Open branches

Red traffic light regions

  • Most branches will be open on their usual days and hours. To ensure we can maintain operations across our network a small number of branches may be closed.
  • Full branch services will be available, including booked appointments. However, where we can assist remotely (by phone, email, or video conference) this will be offered in the first instance, rather than in-branch appointments.

Orange traffic light regions

  • Most branches will be open on their usual days and hours.

Please check branch opening hours before visiting.

Operating under the COVID-19 traffic light system

We're taking the risk of community transmission of COVID-19 seriously. Under the New Zealand Government's COVID-19 traffic light system, we will have protocols in place to keep everyone safe when visiting a branch or when meeting with ANZ staff.

Visiting a branch

Our branch staff will be available to help customers at all levels of the COVID-19 traffic light system. We will not require people entering branches to provide proof of vaccination.

To help keep everyone safe, please don't visit a branch if you are unwell, awaiting results of a COVID test, or are able to do your banking through one of our self-service options.

Our staff are here to help, please be kind as we get through this together.

ANZ customer facing staff

We will have protocols in place when our non-branch customer facing staff meet with customers. This includes our Institutional and Business Relationship Managers, Mobile Mortgage Managers and Private Bankers.

COVID-19 traffic light levels

We have protocols in place at all traffic light levels to help minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
