ANZ Matariki competition

1.1. The ANZ Matariki competition (the ‘Competition’) commences on Monday 10 July 2023 at 9:00am and ends on Sunday 16 July 2023 at 11:59pm.

2.1. Entrants to the Competition have the opportunity to win (1) $500 Countdown Groceries Gift Card (the ‘Prize’).

3.1. To enter the Competition, you must comment on either ANZ’s Facebook or Instagram ‘ANZ Matariki competition’ post by stating your plans to celebrate Matariki.

3.2. The following entries will be deemed invalid:

(a) Incomprehensible or incomplete entries;

(b) Any entries that infringe any intellectual property rights or that are plagiarised;

(c) Any entries that are discriminatory in any way including racist, sexist, ableist, homophobic, transphobic or otherwise deemed offensive by ANZ.

3.3. An entry is deemed received at the time the entry is received on Facebook or Instagram and not at the time of transmission by the entrant.

3.4. By entering the Competition in accordance with paragraph 3.1 above, you accept these Terms and Conditions.

4.1. Entry is open to New Zealand residents and people living in New Zealand with at least 6 months remaining on a valid visa at the time they enter the competition, aged 18 years or older.

4.2. Entry is limited to one entry per person only.

4.3. ANZ Employees and Contractors are not eligible to enter the Competition.

4.4. All entries will be verified based on the eligibility criteria in this paragraph 4 of these Terms and Conditions, and ANZ reserves the right to disqualify any entry without notice if it does not meet the eligibility requirements or breaches these Terms and Conditions.

5.1. The draw for the Prize (the ‘Prize Draw’) will take place on Monday 17 July 2023.

5.2. ANZ will randomly select one (1) winner that complies with these Terms and Conditions and is able to be contacted in accordance with paragraph 5.3 below, will win a Prize (the ‘Winner/s’).

5.3. ANZ will attempt to contact potential Winner/s by Personal Message (PM) on Facebook Messenger within 48 hours of the Prize Draw. If the potential Winners cannot be reached within that time period they will forfeit the Prize and another entry will be drawn.

5.4. ANZ’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prize is not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash. If for any reason the Prize becomes unavailable, ANZ may substitute an alternative equivalent prize without notice.

6.1. ANZ will hold and use the information that you provide to enter this competition in accordance with its Privacy Statement.

6.2. You have the right to access and request correction of any information that you provide to enter this Competition.

7.1. To the extent the law allows, neither ANZ or any other party associated with this promotion shall be liable for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) sustained by any person from or in connection with the Competition, the Prize, or any act or omission by ANZ except in the case of wilful default or gross negligence by ANZ.

7.2. ANZ or any other party associated with this competition is not liable if an entry is not received as a result of a technical problem whether as a result of internet availability or any other system.

7.3. Where goods or services are supplied by third parties, ANZ does not warrant the quality of those goods or services or the suitability for your particular circumstances. To the extent the law allows, ANZ excludes liability for any loss suffered as a result of the use of those goods or services.

8.1. ANZ may change, extend, or cancel the competition or these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.
