Visa Wellington On a Plate 2025 prize competition terms and conditions

The Visa Wellington On a Plate 2025 prize competition starts on 1 June 2025 at midnight and ends on 30 June 2025 at 11.59pm.

The competition is divided into eight regions (see the ‘prize draw’ section below for details). A winner will be drawn from each region. Each prize will consist of a trip for four to Visa Wellington On a Plate, which includes:

• Four return domestic flights to Wellington. This is for a domestic flight from the winner’s nearest domestic airport and is only applicable if the winner lives outside of the Greater Wellington Region
• One night’s accommodation for four (two double rooms) at QT Wellington on 20 August 2025. Includes breakfast.
• Four entries to an exclusive Visa Wellington On a Plate event ‘Honeymoon Around Asia’ on 20 August 2025
• Airport transfers to and from QT Wellington 
• A Visa Wellington On a Plate goodie bag.

If you win, you will need to pay any costs associated with claiming the prize which aren’t included above.

The winner will be the business that holds the ANZ Visa Business credit card account.

You must complete at least five eligible transactions on your ANZ Visa Business Airpoints, CashBack or Low Rate card account between midnight on 1 June 2025 and 11.59pm on 30 June 2025. There is no minimum spend required for the five eligible transactions.

If you have more than one card for your ANZ Visa Business credit card account, the total number of transactions made across these cards will be added together.

Transactions made by cardholders will be counted towards the ANZ Visa Business credit card account for those cards.

Eligible transactions do not include reversals, ATM cash deposits or withdrawals, transfers, interest credits, fee charges, spend related to gambling, purchase of foreign currency, travel cheques, topping up gift or prepaid cards or purchases of crypto currency.  

By entering the competition, you accept these terms and conditions. 

To enter you must:

• Be aged 18 years or older
• Be a New Zealand resident or living in New Zealand with at least six months remaining on a valid visa when entering the competition
• Be an ANZ Business customer with an open ANZ Visa Business Airpoints card, ANZ Visa Business CashBack card or ANZ Visa Business Low Rate card before 30 May 2025 and at the time of the prize draw
• Complete at least five eligible transactions between the dates and times specified above and in the manner specified above

The travel arrangements (including dates and airline) cannot be changed and must be accepted by the winner. Arrangements cannot be made to extend the stay in Wellington. All travel is subject to availability at all times and may be dependent on select seat class with airlines or specific room category availability with an accommodation partner.

ANZ employees and contractors are not eligible to enter the competition. 

All entries will be verified based on the eligibility criteria listed in these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry without notice if it doesn’t meet eligibility requirements or breaches these terms and conditions. 

The prize draw will take place in the week commencing 7 July 2025.

We will identify all eligible entrants. If any entrants have incomplete address information, we will allocate that customer to a region based on the data we hold.

We will draw one winner from each of the eight regions listed:

• Christchurch and West Coast
• Southern Provincial
• Wellington and Tasman
• East Coast and Wairarapa
• Waikato and King Country
• Bay of Plenty
• Regional Auckland and Northland
• Central Auckland. 

The first eight (8) entries drawn that comply with these Terms and Conditions, and that can be contacted, will win the prize.

We will attempt to contact the potential winners by phone call, email and/or text message within 48 hours of the prize draw. If the potential winners cannot be reached within that time, they will forfeit the prize and another entry will be drawn. 

The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. If for any reason the prize becomes unavailable, we may swap it for a similar or equal prize without notice.

Our decision is final. 

Airline Tickets are subject to the relevant airline’s terms and conditions which will be available on the relevant airline’s website. 

Any airline tickets that form part of the prize are subject to that airline’s terms and conditions. 

All other third-party tickets are issued are subject to that party’s ticket terms and conditions.

We will hold and use the information you provide to enter this competition in line with our Privacy Statement. 

By entering this competition, you agree that ANZ can (at its discretion) use your business and first name, region and/or photos on its social media platforms, emails or its website including, but not limited to, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. Your business and first name, region and photos may be used for promotional purposes or other updates relating to ANZ or its products. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by notifying us in writing.

Visa and Wellington On a Plate are third parties associated with this promotion. The information you provide to enter this competition will be shared with them if you are confirmed as the winner. This allows them to conduct the prize fulfilment, which requires them to contact the winners and book travel and accommodation. 

You have the right to check and correct any information you provide to enter this competition.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) connected to this competition or prize, or any act or omission by us, to the extent the law allows. This also applies to other organisations connected with this promotion. The only exceptions are for wilful default or gross negligence.

If an entry is not received due to any type of technical problem, organisations running this competition, including ANZ, are not liable. 

For goods or services supplied by third parties, we do not guarantee their quality or suitability for your circumstances. To the extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any loss due to using those goods or services.

We may change, extend, or cancel the competition or these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
