ANZ security measures

What we do to protect you

ANZ employs many security measures to ensure your transactions and information are protected, like:

  • Fraud detection system that looks for unusual behaviour to indicate any fraudulent transactions.
  • 512-bit encryption on our ANZ goMoney apps, and 128-bit encryption on ANZ Internet Banking and Mobile Phone Banking services.
  • ANZ goMoney apps are device-specific and no personal information is stored on your phone.
  • Automatically timing you out of Internet Banking and our Mobile apps if session left unattended.
  • All our electronic banking systems are password or PIN protected. ANZ goMoney for iPhone will lock you out if you enter the wrong PIN number too many times.
  • OnlineCode 'two-factor authentication' process for high value payments and sending money overseas when using Internet Banking. A unique code is sent to your mobile to complete the payment.

In the unlikely event that you are a victim of fraud, ANZ guarantees that you will be reimbursed for any unauthorised transactions. This is provided that you have complied with the Electronic Banking Conditions of Use.
