Basic contents and motor vehicle insurance

ANZ Base Protect provides cover for basic contents and motor vehicle insurance. The ANZ Base Protect range is no longer available to purchase. 

You can still purchase car insurance or contents insurance under the ANZ Asset Protector range, which is also provided by Vero. 

Existing customers – Vero are moving you to a new policy

If you are an existing ANZ Base Protect customer, Vero will be automatically transferring your current insurance cover to a new ANZ Asset Protector policy. This will happen at your first renewal, after 1 January 2023. 

Vero will be in touch before the transfer is complete to provide you with all the information you need about this change. We encourage you to check this information to ensure that the new ANZ Asset Protector policy is right for you and meets your needs. 

If you decide the ANZ Asset Protector policy doesn’t suit your needs, you can cancel your ANZ Base Protect policy ahead of the transfer. Vero will also provide you with a 30 day “free-look” period. This means you can cancel within 30 days from your renewal date and Vero will refund any premium you have paid from this date (provided you haven’t made a claim).
