Don't miss out on up to $521 free

For every dollar you contribute to your KiwiSaver account, the Government will contribute 50 cents, up to a maximum of $521. Contribute to your KiwiSaver account by June 24 2019 to make sure you don’t miss out.

How it works in two steps

You'll be eligible for the annual Government contribution if you:

  • Are aged 18 to 64 (or older if you’ve been a member of KiwiSaver for less than five years), and
  • Mainly live in New Zealand.

Note: If you've joined KiwiSaver part-way through the year (1 July to 30 June the following year), you'll only be eligibile for part of the Government contributiondisclaimer.

Make a contribution

You need to contribute at least $1,043 to your KiwiSaver account between 1 July and 30 June each yeardisclaimer to receive the maximum Government contribution of $521.

Remember, every little bit counts. Even a $100 contribution to your KiwiSaver account will get you $50 free from the Government. The more you contribute, the more you can get for free, up to $521.
