Affinity Network Groups
Affinity Network Groups
Our Affinity Network Groups for staff cover a wide variety of interests across the diversity spectrum.
Community and connection
At ANZ we understand the benefit to our employees, and the wider organisation, of having Affinity Network Groups.
We value the contributions of those who put their hand up alongside the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Team, to support the running of these groups. All of our groups have an executive sponsor who champions the work of their group across ANZ Aotearoa.
Abilities Network Group
A collective of ANZ employees who are passionate about making a positive difference for people with a disability, including fellow employees, our customers and the wider community.
Our key purposes:
- Raise awareness of disability and accessibility.
- Represent employees in issues relating to disability.
- Foster an environment of inclusiveness and diversity.
Aotearoa Forward Network Group
Championing gender balance and creating a supportive networking environment to encourage staff of all gender identities to learn, grow, and expand their career at ANZ.
- Creating a supportive space for women and their advocates
- Enhancing gender based cultural change and equitable workplace practices
- Facilitating events that provide members and supporters opportunities to learn, develop and grow their professional development and careers.
Asian Network Group
We strive to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our members. It fuels our innovation and connects us closer to our customers and the communities we serve.
Hawaiki Tawhiti – Māori Employee Network
Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi. We all bring a different piece of the puzzle and together we can flourish.
Our purpose is to cultivate a supportive network that empowers Māori staff and Māori allies within ANZ. Through collaboration, advocacy, and celebration of our heritage, we aim to create a vibrant community where Māori voices are heard, valued, and uplifted, contributing to an inclusive and culturally enriched workplace.
Indian Network Group
ANZ employees of Indian origin or who have some connection with Indian culture. We engage and encourage collaboration between leaders and staff from across ANZ to celebrate and enjoy what the Indian culture has to give.
Our mission is for you to be proud of who you are and celebrate what every culture has to offer.
MANA
Men’s Awareness Network Aotearoa fosters a safe environment for men and their whānau to discuss, support and grow. We’re here to:
Encourage and support speaking up on wellbeing
Advocating for cultural change on behaviours
Educating our people to be the best possible version of themselves.
We’ve all got men in our lives, so let’s work together to create a healthier future for ourselves, our whānau and our communities.
Ora Moana Aotearoa Pasifika Group
Ora Moana is dedicated to supporting and uplifting our Pasifika communities across Aotearoa. Grounded in the values of Vā Fealoa’i (connection and relationships), manaaki (care and generosity), and tautua (service), we create spaces where our people feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
Our purpose is simple – to empower Pasifika peoples to thrive. Through mentorship, cultural storytelling, and community initiatives, we champion education, career growth, and a strong sense of belonging.
Pride Network Group
ANZ is proud of our Pride Network for LGBTIQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, and other rainbow identities) employees and their allies.
Pride has been in place since 2007 and aims to be a voice, contact point and support mechanism. We aim to increase diversity, inclusion and respect through active engagement of our people across the globe.
We recognise the many individuals in our rainbow community. We use the acronym of LGBTIQ+ for ease of communication and do not intend to exclude anyone or their identity.
ANZ has taken The Pride Pledge, which is a commitment to demonstrate our dedication to the safety, visibility, and inclusion of our rainbow communities.
Whānau/Parent Network Group
We support and encourage expectant, new and existing parents to thrive in both their home and work environments.
We want to:
- Bridge the work and home divide
- Provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space to discuss and share personal experiences
- Educate people leaders on challenges that working parents face.
