Make payments online and over the phone

ANZ Internet BankingANZ goMoney and ANZ Phone Banking have a range of fast, convenient electronic payment options, including:

  • Funds transfertransfers of money between your ANZ accounts.
  • Bill payments - one-off payments to people or organisations.
  • Automatic payments - scheduled payments for the same amount each time, to someone else or to another one of your accounts with us.
  • Direct debits - when you authorise someone to take money directly from your account (e.g. a direct debit with your phone company pay your phone bill).

Pay your tax

You can make tax payments to the IRD quickly and easily via ANZ Internet Banking – just go to the ‘Pay and Transfer’ menu and select ‘Pay Tax’ or in ANZ goMoney – just go to the ‘Payments’ menu and select ‘Pay Tax’.

Send money overseas

At ANZ, sending money to family, friends or anyone else overseas is fast, easy and secure. You can send it yourself through ANZ Internet Banking, ANZ goMoney or we can arrange it for you at any ANZ branch or over the phone (terms and conditions apply).

ATMs and Smart Deposits

You can access ANZ’s extensive network of ATMs around New Zealand to get cash, check your balances, print mini-statements, and transfer money between your accounts. And, at ANZ Smart ATMs, you can also deposit cash (notes only) and cheques directly into the ATM with our Smart Deposit service.

While most ATMs are available 24/7, some may be inaccessible at times, for example those located in shopping malls. Use our ATM locator to check locations and hours.

Cash deposits 

Cash (notes only) deposits are cleared funds once processed.

Cash deposited at Smart ATMs before 7:30pm on a business day is processed at the end of the day. Cash deposited after 7:30pm or on a non-business day, is processed at the end of the next business day.

If you choose to print a receipt, the breakdown of the number of each type of note deposited will be displayed. 

Cheque deposits

Cheques take longer to process. Once removed from the ATM (usually within 3 business days of being deposited), cheques are sent to be processed and standard cheque clearance times apply. Cheques from overseas, or banks that no longer process cheques (i.e. Kiwibank), will not be accepted and the ATM will return the cheque to you. 

If you choose to print a receipt, the information displayed depends on the number of cheques deposited:

  • 1-3: scanned image of the cheque(s).
  • 4+: list of the cheque amounts instead of scanned images.
