Visa Loyalty Olympic Games Paris 2024 prize competition terms and conditions for ANZ

The Visa Loyalty Olympic Games Paris 2024 prize competition for ANZ starts on Thursday, 16 May 2024 at 12.00am and ends on Friday, 14 June 2024 at 11.59pm.

By entering the competition, you could win a trip for two to the Olympic Games Paris 2024 as the grand prize, or one of 10 runner-up prizes of a one-month Sky Sport Now pass.

The grand prize is a trip for two to the Olympic Games Paris 2024, which includes:

• Return economy flights for two adults to Paris, to and from your nearest international airport in New Zealand, departing Sunday, 4 August 2024 and returning Tuesday, 13 August 2024
• Six nights’ accommodation (including daily breakfast) for two
• Access for two adults to the following category B Olympic events
  • Skateboarding
  • Tae Kwon Do, M / Repechages, Bronze Final
  • Athletics, Men's and Women's Semi Finals Heptathlon, Finals 400m Women's Hurdles, Finals Women's Long Jump, Men's 200m Finals, Men's 110m Hurdles Finals, Men's Javelin Throw
• A champagne experience for two adults, including a vineyard tour, transport to and from the vineyard, and lunch
• Airport and train station transfers via motorcoach to and from the hotel in Paris for two adults

• Paris Tourist Passes for access to the hop-on and hop-off buses for two adults
• EUR600 spending money total loaded onto a Visa Prepaid card

• Access to the Visa Everywhere Lounge for two adults
• Access to Visa event, medical and support staff at each event for two adults

The runner-up prize includes one of 10 one-month Sky Sport Now passes and Paris 2024 themed merchandise, which includes:

• A promotional code which entitles you to activate a one-month pass to Sky Sport Now for the period from Monday, 1 July 2024 to Saturday, 31 August 2024. See further details under ‘Eligibility’ below.
• Paris 2024 themed merchandise including:
  • Duffle bag
  • Notebook
  • Pen
  • Water bottle
  • Hat

If you win either the Olympic Games Paris 2024 trip prize or a runner-up Sky Sport Now pass prize, you will need to pay any costs associated with claiming the prize which aren’t included above.

You must complete at least 10 eligible transactions on your personal ANZ Visa Debit and/or credit card between 12.00am Thursday, 16 May 2024 and 11.59pm Friday, 14 June 2024. There is no minimum spend required for the 10 eligible transactions.

If you have more than one Visa card e.g. a Visa credit and Visa Debit card, the total number of transactions you make across these cards will be added together.

Eligible transactions do not include reversals, ATM cash deposits/withdrawals, transfers, interest credits, fee charges, spend related to gambling, purchase of foreign currency, travel cheques, topping up gift/prepaid cards and purchases of crypto currency.

Transactions made by secondary account holder and affiliate cards will be counted toward the primary account holder.

By entering the competition, you accept these terms and conditions. 

To enter you must be:

• Aged 18 years or older
• A New Zealand resident or living in New Zealand with at least six months remaining on a valid visa when entering the competition. 

To be eligible to win a prize, you must be a personal ANZ customer with an active personal ANZ Visa Debit and/or credit card when you enter and at the time of the prize draw.

To be able to claim the Olympic Games Paris 2024 trip prize, you and your other adult travel companion must be aged 18 years or older, able to be permitted entry into France and be available from Sunday, 4 August 2024 to Tuesday, 13 August 2024. Further details such as the departure point, flight times, accommodation details, support and management of the hospitality experiences will be confirmed by ANZ’s prize fulfilment partner Visa Worldwide Pte. Limited (Visa).

The travel arrangements (including dates and airline) cannot be changed and must be accepted by the winner. Any changes to any elements of the prize will be at the winner’s own expense and must be agreed to by ANZ. Arrangements cannot be made to extend the stay in Paris. All travel is subject to availability at all times and may be dependent on select seat class with airlines or specific room category availability with an accommodation partner. 

To be able to claim the runner-up Sky Sport Now pass package, you must be aged 18 years or older. The Sky Sport Now promotional code must be activated by you on or before the last day of the activation period (Monday, 1 July 2024 to Saturday, 31 August 2024). Any promotional codes not activated by Saturday, 31 August 2024 will expire and no replacement promotional codes will be offered or provided. Each promotional code will activate a single one month (“Promo Code Period”) Sky Sport Now pass from the date you activate the Sky Sport Now promotional code. You will be required to subscribe to Sky Sport Now and be subject to Sky Sport Now standard terms and conditions (other than payment during the Promo Code Period). If you are a current customer of Sky Sport Now with an active month or week pass, you can activate the promotional code during the Activation Period, except where you have activated your subscription through a third party and in such event, you will need to cancel your subscription before activating directly with the Service. If you are a current annual pass customer of Sky Sport Now, you will not be able to activate the promotional code unless your current pass expires within the Activation Period. At the end of the Promo Code Period, your Sky Sport Now pass will cease.

ANZ employees and contractors are not eligible to enter the competition. 

All entries will be verified based on the eligibility criteria listed in these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry without notice if it doesn’t meet eligibility requirements or breaches these terms and conditions.

The prize draw will take place in the week commencing 17 June 2024.

We will identify all eligible entrants. There will be one winner for the grand prize, and 10 winners for the runner-up prize. There will be one prize draw. If your entry is the first drawn that meets these terms and conditions, and we can contact you, you will win the grand prize. If yours is one of the following 10 entries drawn that meet these terms and conditions, and we can contact you, you will win one of the runner-up prizes.

For the grand prize, we will attempt to contact the potential winner by phone call and/or text message within 48 hours of the prize draw. If the potential winner cannot be reached within that time, they will forfeit the prize and another entry will be drawn. For the runner-up prizes, we will attempt to contact the potential winner by email within 48 hours of the prize draw. If the potential winner cannot be reached within that time, they will forfeit the prize and another entry will be drawn.

The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. If for any reason the prize becomes unavailable, we may swap it for a similar or equal prize without notice.

Our decision is final. 

All Olympic Games Paris 2024 event tickets are subject to the Ticketing Terms and Conditions for the Sale of Tickets for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Any airline tickets that form part of the prize are subject to that airline’s terms and conditions. 

All other third-party tickets are issued are subject to that party’s ticket terms and conditions.

We will hold and use the information you provide to enter this competition in line with our Privacy Statement. 

Visa is a third party associated with this promotion. The information you provide to enter this competition will be shared with them if you are confirmed as the winner. This allows them to conduct the prize fulfilment, which requires them to contact the winner. 

You have the right to check and correct any information you provide to enter this competition.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) connected to this competition or prize, or any act or omission by us, to the extent the law allows. This also applies to other organisations connected with this promotion. The only exceptions are for wilful default or gross negligence.

If an entry is not received due to any type of technical problem, organisations running this competition, including ANZ, are not liable. 

For goods or services supplied by third parties, we do not guarantee their quality or suitability for your circumstances. To the extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any loss due to using those goods or services.

We may change, extend, or cancel the competition or these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
