Use ANZ Caller Check to check if it’s really us
If someone calls claiming to be from ANZ, you can check it’s really us by asking for an ANZ Caller Check. We’ll send a Caller Check secure notification to your goMoney app, so you can confirm you’re speaking with ANZ.
If you ask a caller for Caller Check but you don’t receive a goMoney notification, you might be talking to a scammer. Immediately hang up and call us on 0800 269 296 (+64 4 470 3142 from overseas, charges may apply).
We can also use Caller Check to check we’re talking to you when you call us or visit a branch. Caller Check doesn't use text messages or email. Caller Check is only available for ANZ personal customers and is available on most calls with ANZ. Make sure goMoney notifications are enabled in your device settings to find out when ANZ has sent you a Caller Check secure notifications.
1. We’ll send a secure notification to your ANZ goMoney app.
2. Log in to goMoney, then confirm you're talking ANZ by selecting Yes, I am.
3. You can now be confident you’re speaking with a real member of the ANZ team.

If you get an unexpected notification
If you get a Caller Check notification in goMoney and you’re not on a call with us, weren’t expecting it, or are unsure:
- Select No, I'm not in goMoney
- Contact us immediately.
Select Contact ANZ from the Caller Check declined screen in goMoney to call us from within the app. We’re available 24/7.

Tips to keep safe
Never share your passwords, PINs, full card details, login details, or two-factor authentication codes with anyone. ANZ will never ask for this information.
Always access your online banking through goMoney or log in to ANZ Internet Banking using the button at the top of this website (anz.co.nz). Never use links in text messages or emails.
