If someone calls claiming to be from ANZ, you can check it’s really us.
Ask for an ANZ Caller Check secure notification. We’ll send it to your goMoney, so you can confirm you’re speaking with ANZ – not an impersonator.
Caller Check uses secure notifications sent to goMoney, not text messages or email.
If you don’t receive a goMoney notification, or something feels off, hang up and contact ANZ immediately through our official channels or directly through goMoney. Caller Check is available for most calls with ANZ.
Make sure you have notifications enabled in your device settings to find out when ANZ has sent you a Caller Check secure notification in goMoney.

We may use Caller Check to confirm your identity when you call us or visit a branch.
This helps protect your accounts before we share any information.
If you receive a notification you aren’t expecting
If you get a Caller Check notification and you’re not on a call with us, weren’t expecting it, or are unsure, contact us immediately – we’re available 24/7.

Tips to keep safe
Never share your full card details, login details, or two-factor authentication codes with anyone, even if they claim to be from your bank.
Always access your online banking through goMoney or log in to ANZ Internet Banking using the button at the top of this website (anz.co.nz). Never use links in text messages or emails.
Remember: ANZ will never ask for your full card details, PINs, passwords or two-factor authentication codes.
