“Investing with ANZ has given me security about my future – and the freedom of knowing I have options.”
Angela was just 29 when her father passed away. As the last surviving member of her family, she had to deal not only with the grief of losing another parent, but also the responsibility that came with inheriting the family farm and assets.
"I had very little idea about managing a farm, and even less about managing money,” says Angela. “I was used to living from payday to payday. It was pretty scary. I knew I needed some advice, but trusting someone with what to me was a considerable sum of money was a big leap of faith.
I chose ANZ because of their size and reputation. That was nearly 20 years ago and it was a great decision, because I’ve been with them ever since.
Working with ANZ has been easy, says Angela. “I’ve been with my current adviser for seven years and she’s phenomenal.
Having that relationship and having those skills available to me has given me a lot more confidence – and helped me avoid making some big mistakes! It’s also made me much more comfortable about investing than I was at the start.
I have an annual review with my adviser where we discuss any changes to my situation and what’s important to me. Then we take a comprehensive look at my investments, the different types of things I’m invested in and the risk factors.
Once we’ve agreed the overall direction I’m happy to leave the everyday investment decisions to ANZ. I trust them and it’s very much ‘set and forget’ for me. It’s pretty stress-free and the results over a long period speak for themselves.
I’m very happy that we’ve achieved what we set out to do at the start – keep my money safe and make more of it! Most importantly, investing with ANZ has given me security about my future – and the freedom of knowing I have options. I have no hesitation recommending ANZ to anyone.”
