ANZ FastPay for mobile EFTPOS, debit and credit card payments
Our mobile payment solutions let you accept Visa and Mastercard contactless payments using your smartphone, as well as EFTPOS and UnionPay using our portable FastPay terminal.
No monthly fees for 12 months
Apply for ANZ FastPay Tap and if approved by 20 February 2025 you’ll get the first 12 months of the Monthly Support Fee ($10 plus GST) and the Monthly Device Fee ($5 plus GST per applicable device) waived.
Existing customers will have their Monthly Support Fee and any Monthly Device Fees automatically waived up until October 2025.

Tap to Pay on iPhone with FastPay Tap
With Tap to Pay on iPhone and ANZ FastPay Tap, you can accept in-person, contactless payments on your iPhone – no extra terminals or hardware needed.
Settlement cutover and transaction processing times
- Settlement cutover times:
- 10pm for FastPay terminal
- 8pm for FastPay Tap
- For transactions processed before the settlement cutover time, you’ll be able to access the funds the next morning.
- For transactions processed after the settlement cutover time, these transactions will be processed the next day and you’ll be able to access the funds the following morning.
- For all transactions, funds will leave the customer's account immediately.
- Refunds are processed overnight on the day they are issued.
- EFTPOS transactions are not available for FastPay Tap.

How to apply for FastPay
Check if you're eligible
- You must have an ANZ bank account.
- You must be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a work visa valid for 12 months.

Additional terminals
If you need more than one, you can get an additional FastPay terminal by completing a new application.
Lost, stolen or damaged terminals
If you lose or break the FastPay terminal, call us immediately on 0800 249 435. You will need to pay a $249 plus GST replacement fee for any terminal that cannot be returned to us in working order.
