Competition dates

The ANZ 'Visa Olympic Games Paris 2024 competition' starts on Friday, 22 March 2024 at 12:01am and ends on Friday, 17 May 2024 at 11:59pm.


The prize

By entering the competition, you could win a trip for two to Paris for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 which includes:

  • Return economy flights for two adults to Paris, to and from your nearest international airport in New Zealand, departing Monday, 5 August 2024 and returning Sunday, 11 August 2024
  • Four nights’ accommodation for two at The Hoxton Paris Hotel and two nights’ accommodation for two at The Royal Champagne Hotel (including daily breakfast)
  • Access for two adults to three pre-selected category B Olympic events
    • Skateboarding (SKB06)
    • Tae Kwon Do (TKW03), M / Repecharges, Bronze Final
    • Athletics (ATH14), Men's and Women's Semi Finals Heptathlon, Finals 400m Women Hurdles, Finals Women's Long Jump, Men's 200m Finals, Men's 110m Hurdles Finals, Men's Javelin Throw
  • A champagne experience for two adults, including a vineyard tour, transport to and from the vineyard, and lunch
  • Airport and train station transfers via motorcoach to and from the hotel in Paris for two adults
  • A Paris metro card for transport to and from Olympic events for two adults
  • Paris Tourist Passes for access to the hop-on and hop-off buses for two adults
  • USD$600 spending money total loaded onto a Visa Prepaid Product
  • One Visa and Olympic Games Paris 2024 branded merchandise pack (valued at USD$400), including gifts and amenities
  • Access to the Visa Everywhere Lounge for two adults
  • Access to Visa event, medical and support staff at each event for two adults

If you win, you will need to pay any costs associated with claiming the prize which aren’t included above.


How to enter

To automatically go into the draw, you must join ANZ by opening and activating a new ANZ Go, ANZ Freedom, ANZ Jumpstart or ANZ Select account, with a linked ANZ Visa Debit card, between Friday, 22 March 2024 at 12:01am and Friday, 17 May 2024 at 11:59pm. 

By entering the competition, you accept these terms and conditions. 


Eligibility

To enter you must be:

  • Aged 18 or older on 24 May 2024
  • A New Zealand resident, or living in New Zealand with at least six months remaining on a valid visa when entering the competition. 

One entry per person only. For joint account holders, each individual account holder is eligible to enter the competition.

To be eligible to win the prize, you must have joined ANZ by opening and activating a new ANZ Go, ANZ Freedom, ANZ Jumpstart or ANZ Select account, with a linked ANZ Visa Debit card, between Friday, 22 March 2024 at 12:01am and Friday, 17 May 2024 at 11:59pm. 

The offer is not available to:

  • Current ANZ customers who hold an ANZ Freedom, ANZ Go, ANZ Jumpstart, ANZ Select, ANZ Private Banking Current account, or ANZ Agri Personal Current account
  • Existing or past ANZ customers who held an ANZ Freedom, ANZ Go, ANZ Jumpstart, ANZ Select, ANZ Private Banking Current account, or ANZ Agri Personal Current account at any time between 22 September 2023 and 21 March 2024.

To be able to claim the prize, you must be aged 18 years or older, your travel companion must be aged 16 years or older, and you must both be able to be permitted entry into France. You must be available from Monday 5 August 2024 to Sunday 11 August 2024. Further details such as the departure point, flight times, accommodation details, support and management of the hospitality experiences will be confirmed by ANZ’s prize fulfilment partner Visa Worldwide Pte. Limited (“Visa”).

The travel arrangements (including dates and airline) cannot be changed and must be accepted by the winner. Any changes to any elements of the prize will be at the winner’s own expense and must be agreed to by ANZ. Arrangements cannot be made to extend the stay in Paris. All travel is subject to availability at all times and may be dependent on select seat class with airlines or specific room category availability with an accommodation partner. 

ANZ employees and contractors are not eligible to enter the competition.

All entries will be verified based on the eligibility criteria listed in these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry without notice if it doesn’t meet eligibility requirements or breaches these terms and conditions. 


The prize draw

The prize draw will take place on Friday, 24 May 2024.

We will identify all eligible entrants, and if your entry is the first drawn that meets these terms and conditions, and we can contact you, you will win the prize.

We will attempt to contact the potential winner by phone call and/or SMS within 48 hours of the prize draw. If the potential winner cannot be reached within that time, they will forfeit the prize and another entry will be drawn. 

The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. If for any reason the prize becomes unavailable, we may swap it for a similar or equal prize without notice.

Our decision is final. 


Ticket conditions

All Olympic Games Paris 2024 event tickets are subject to the Ticketing Terms and Conditions for the Sale of Tickets for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Any airline tickets that form part of the prize are subject to that airline’s terms and conditions. 

All other third-party tickets are issued are subject to that party’s ticket terms and conditions.


Privacy

For information about how ANZ collects, handles, uses, and discloses your information, including personal information, please see the ANZ Privacy Statement, available at anz.co.nz/privacy. Our Privacy Statement also contains information about your right to access and seek correction of your personal information.

Visa is a third party associated with this promotion. The information you provide to enter this competition will be collected by or shared with them if you are confirmed as the winner. This allows them to contact the winner and deliver prizes.


Liability exclusions: When we are not legally responsible

We will not be liable for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) connected to this competition or prize, or any act or omission by us, to the extent the law allows. This also applies to other organisations connected with this promotion. The only exceptions are for wilful default or gross negligence.

If an entry is not received due to any type of technical problem, organisations running this competition, including ANZ, are not liable.

For goods or services supplied by third parties, we do not guarantee their quality or suitability for your circumstances. To the extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any loss due to using those goods or services.


Other conditions

We may change, extend, or cancel the competition or these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
