Investment advice

Whether you’re a first-time or experienced investor, good investment advice can make all the difference. And if you are thinking of selling your business or retiring, it’s even more important to ensure you are making the right choices for your money so it can continue to work hard for you. ANZ’s Investment Advisers can help – and it’s completely free.

Our investment team

Our network of qualified investment advisers around the country have helped thousands of Kiwis achieve their financial goals by providing sound advice. They’re backed up by our team of New Zealand-based investment management experts, together with global partners including BlackRock, who are focused on delivering investment outcomes to support your long-term goals.

Why you should get investment advice

Everyone can benefit from good investment advice, whatever their situation. And when it comes to investing, it’s never too early – or too late – to start.

In investing (as with most things), the key to success is having a plan. But it can be hard to find the time to research investment markets and put a plan together. Our Investment Advisers can help you understand the options and create an achievable plan that works for you.

While many Kiwis take a ‘DIY’ approach to investing, it pays to get advice from experts. Research has shown that Kiwis who get financial advice have around 50% more in their KiwiSaver account, and receive 4% higher returns on average on their investments

Meeting with an ANZ Investment Adviser will only take around an hour of your time – and it could be one of the best investments you ever make.

How it works

Everyone’s different, so our advice is tailored to you and your situation through a logical, careful and disciplined approach.

What we can advise you on

ANZ Investment Advisers can work with you to:

  • Help you gain clarity on your financial goals and timeframes
  • Help you understand your attitude to investment risk (including a personalised risk profile)
  • Recommend options to help you make the most of the money you have to invest.

They can provide investment advice and make recommendations on the ANZ KiwiSaver Scheme and OneAnswer KiwiSaver Scheme (multi-asset-class funds only) and ANZ Investment Funds. Each fund is fully managed and invests in a different mix of investment assets (e.g. shares, property, fixed interest and cash), and each has a different balance between risk and returns.

If you have over $1.5 million to invest our ANZ Private service may be better suited to your needs. ANZ Private is a highly personalised service offering a wide range of investment, lending and banking options.

What it costs

There’s no charge for getting advice from an ANZ Investment Adviser – it’s free to use the service. There’s also no obligation – so there’s nothing to lose.

“I think most people can benefit from talking to an ANZ Investment Adviser. I’d recommend it to anyone.” – Ann, ANZ Investments client, Auckland
