Here’s how we’re helping you through COVID-19

Latest updates to banking services, and information about the available support options as of 12 March 2021.

Banking at current Alert Levels

Most ANZ branches remain open during COVID-19 Alert Level 1 or 2. In Alert Levels 3 and 4 we have selected branches open. Branch openings may change so check back here for the latest information.

At all alert levels banking services will be operating, including ATMs, payments will work as usual, and banking and lending support is available.

If you, or a family member or neighbour, needs assistance with banking please call us on 0800 269 296 and ask how we can help.

Remember, for our customer and staff safety, please don’t visit a branch if you are feeling unwell.

What you can expect when visiting a branch 

We’re following Government guidelines to help keep our customers and staff safe. 

You will find:

  • Contact tracing is available by either:
    • the Ministry of Health COVID Tracer app by scanning the QR code or 
    • Providing name and contact details to the branch concierge.
  • Physical distancing is encouraged where possible.

Our staff will:

  • Have PPE available to them.
  • Prioritise helping our most vulnerable customers, and those who haven't been able to do their banking online or over the phone.

Self-service options

The ANZ goMoney app, Internet Banking, 24/7 Automated Phone Banking, and ATMs are all available to help you do your regular banking. Using these services means our Contact Centre can focus on helping those immediately impacted by COVID-19.
