We recommend you make your new account the hub of your banking by having your salary directly credited to it. To make this happen all you to do is fill in the following form and give it to your employer:
The easiest way move money from your former bank to your new ANZ account is to transfer it through ANZ Internet Banking.
Alternatively, you can deposit a cheque into your new ANZ account.
Remember to make sure you have no payments due before transferring money to your ANZ account. You should also close your previous account to avoid any fees.

Automatic Payments (APs) are a convenient way to make regular, fixed-amount payments, like rent payments. Don't forget to cancel any existing Automatic Payments on your previous account.
Just print and fill out the form below and post or take it to any ANZ branch.
If you've completed a signing authority** you can also set up Automatic Payments (APs) via our handy services.
Service fees may apply for setting up, amending and/or suspending Automatic Payments.
Pay Bills is a feature of ANZ Internet Banking. It allows you to make reoccurring and fixed-amount, fixed-date payments (like rent) or one-off payments (like power or water) to over 3,000 organisations which we've already set up in our system.
All you have to do is choose how much and when you want to pay. To set up your payees call 0800 103 123.
You can use Pay Anyone, another ANZ Internet Banking feature, to make immediate or future-dated recurring or one-off payments to another person or a specific business with an account at any registered New Zealand bank.
You have a limit of $1,000 per business day, but you can request an increase if you need it. If you don't see a limit confirmation on your Pay Anyone page call 0800 103 123.
Direct debits (DDs) are authorised by you and set up by the organisation you're paying. DDs are used to ask ANZ for payments from your account, either regularly or as required and in pre-set or changing amounts.
To change a direct debit, you need to fill out a direct debit form with your new bank details, sign it and give it to the organisation you're paying.
Don't forget to advise your bank and the organisation to cancel the existing direct debit.
