  • $3 fee per staff-assisted withdrawal, unless you’re under 21, then it’s free (for individual accounts only)
  • $0 ANZ Visa Debit card annual fee

For people who make regular deposits

ANZ Freedom account
 
  • $5 monthly account fee, waived each month you deposit at least $2,500 into your account on or before the last business day of the month
  • $0 transaction fees, meaning unlimited free automated and manual transactions 
  • $0 ANZ Visa Debit card annual fee

The application process

  

Join ANZ the fast way using the goMoney mobile app

Join using the app if you:

  • Are aged 13+, 
  • Live in New Zealand,
  • Have a compatible mobile device,
  • Hold a current New Zealand passport or driver licence, and
  • Want to apply for a Go account. 

Note, you’ll need a smartphone or tablet with video capability.

How to join using the app

  1. Download ANZ goMoney New Zealand from your app store.
  2. Select Join as a new customer and follow the step-by-step instructions.
  3. You’ll need to take a photo of your ID, and a selfie video on your phone to confirm your identity.
  4. After we receive your application, we’ll give you a call to complete your registration over the phone.
