Cover overview

Listed below is a summary of the cover and features that may be available. For full details of the terms, conditions and exclusions please see the policy document (PDF 958kb) – it’s really simple and easy to understand.

Comprehensive

  • Insure your car for either an agreed value or its market value. This agreed or market value is the maximum you'll be paid for your car if it's stolen or cannot be repaired due to an accident.
  • Legal liability cover for reparation and damages up to $20 million if you accidentally cause damage to a third party vehicle or property.
  • Legal liability cover for up to $1 million if you accidentally cause injury to another person.
  • If your windscreen or window has a chip that can be repaired, you won’t have to pay an excess. If your windscreen or window can’t be repaired and needs to be replaced, you’ll need to pay an excess. This won’t affect your no claims bonus.
  • If your vehicle is less than 1 year old and has travelled less than 15,000 kilometres, you can opt for a new one of the same make and model, if your vehicle is stolen or severely damaged.
  • Flexibility to reduce premium by excluding drivers under 25 years of age from your policy (minimum premium applies).
  • Optional extra – Roadside Assistance provides a 24–hour "rescue service" to help with breakdowns, empty fuel tanks, flat tyres and batteries, and other roadside problems.

Third Party, Fire and Theft

  • Cover for your car up to its current market value at the time of loss if it suffers damage due to fire or theft.
  • Legal liability cover for reparation and damages up to $20 million if you accidentally cause damage to a third party vehicle or property.
  • Legal liability cover for up to $1 million if you accidentally cause injury to another person.
  • Get up to $3,000 to help repair or replace your car, if you're involved in an accident with an identified uninsured driver, as long as you are proven not to be at fault.
  • Optional extra - Roadside Assistance provides a 24–hour "rescue service" to help with breakdowns, empty fuel tanks, flat tyres and batteries, and other roadside problems.
