Making a claim

Need to make a claim? Here’s everything you need to know.

How the claims process works

If you’re making a claim, we understand you may be going through a difficult time. Our trusted insurance partner, Vero, has a dedicated claims team for our customers to help make your claim as easy and stress free as possible.

If you're affected by a natural disaster and you have home cover with Vero, they will manage your home and land claims on behalf of the EQC. Get in touch with Vero and they'll do everything they can to help.

Step 1: Get in touch

Contact Vero as soon as you can to let them know what’s happened. Have your policy information handy. You can find your policy schedule in the Documents section of your ANZ Internet Banking. One of their team will guide you through the claims process and explain next steps or what paperwork you’ll need to provide to submit your claim.

Step 2: Your claim is assessed

As soon as you submit your claim, Vero will review your claim and let you know if they need any additional information. Once they have all the information they need, they’ll aim to have a decision within two business days.

Step 3: You're advised of the outcome

Your Vero Claims Consultant will get in touch to let you know the outcome of your claim and talk through the next steps.

If your insurance is provided by Tower, see the 'Other' tab to find out how to make a claim.
